Our Mission
Ric Platform Services LLC is a climate resilience insurtech bringing micro-parametric insurance products to market for working households vulnerable to flooding.
We design rainfall-triggered financial protections that help workers recover faster from catastrophic rain events, minimizing lost income, household disruption, and stress.
Our goal: To build resilience into everyday employee benefits by embedding climate-responsive insurance alongside core and voluntary benefits for U.S. employers.
About the RISE Challenge
Challenge Tasks:
Ric is a proud awardee of the RISE Flood Insurance of the Future Challenge, which funds and supports climate-tech companies piloting innovative risk transfer models in Hampton Roads Virgina and beyond.
As part of this grant, Ric is responsible for fulfilling two key tasks:

Task 6.1: Develop and implement a surplus lines strategy with vendor support for state-by-state licensing, tax filings, and regulatory compliance.

Task 6.3: Execute a communications and marketing strategy with expert support to drive awareness among benefit brokers, employers, and eligible employees.
Vendor Roles Open for Engagement
Regulatory Compliance Vendor
We are seeking a qualified vendor to support insurance licensing, surplus lines compliance, and premium tax reporting on a multi-state basis.
Scope of Work Includes:

Assistance with surplus lines filings and procedures in all 50 U.S. state
-
Coordination with Department of Insurance, Secretary of State, and Department of Revenue filings
-
Support for corporate licensing and insurance regulatory registration
-
Recommendations on ongoing license maintenance and compliance infrastructure
Ideal Vendors Have:
-
Expertise in insurance regulatory frameworks (especially surplus lines)
-
Experience supporting MGAs, insurtechs, or risk purchasing groups
-
A national or multi-state compliance service model
We are also seeking a vendor to support communications strategy development, content creation, and outreach execution aligned with the goals of Task 6.3.
Scope of Work Includes:

Creation of content to educate brokers, HR leaders, and employees about parametric insurance

Paid and organic marketing campaign support during employer open enrollment

Strategy for reaching employers in climate-affected regions
-
Messaging guidance aligned with, climate resilience, and financial wellness goals
Ideal Vendors Have:

Demonstrated success in employee benefits communications or insurtech marketing
-
Familiarity with open enrollment cycles and employer engagement workflows
-
Capacity to manage targeted outreach across both digital and relationship-based channels
